PRODUCT DETAILS:
- Considered one of the most cold-hardy banana plants
- Fast-growing clumping habit creates a lush tropical effect
- Huge green leaves can reach up to 2 ft wide and 6 ft long
- Produces golden cream flowers in summer, followed by small, seedy fruit
- Prefers humus-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil
DESCRIPTION:
A cold-hardy banana with bold tropical presence. Hardy Fiber Banana brings lush green foliage, dramatic height, and a tropical look to Pacific Northwest gardens while offering better root hardiness than many other banana varieties. Its fast-growing clumping habit and huge leaves make it a strong choice for large containers, poolside plantings, patios, borders, and tropical-style garden beds. Plant in full sun with humus-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil, and shelter from strong winds to protect the large leaves.
